Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5th, 1956 in Woodland Hills California. She was raised by an aunt who worked as an housewife, and her father who taught. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three elder brothers. McCormick began dancing and singing in her early years and would often perform plays with puppets for children in her area. When she was just six years old, young, she took home her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency approached her to ask her if she would like to enter show business. McCormick's first job as a professional was during 1964, where she was featured in a TV commercial for Mattels baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. She subsequently starred as Chatty Cathy in a commercial before being cast in The Wind It Up And It's Breaks by The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the role of the eldest daughter of the trio of towheaded girls on The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson, Robert Reed as well as a brand new family. The show ran for five years. In her autobiography Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season, she nearly lost her virginity to her screen co-star and brother Barry Williams. In 2008, McCormick revealed in her book Heres the Truth: surviving Marcia and Finding My True Voice that during season five of the show, she nearly lost her virginity to actor Barry Williams. The woman said it might have been feasible, but we never had the right time to do it.
